CrAzY HaT NiGhT!!!

It was announced last night in church that on the last Wednesday of October it will be crazy hat night for the AWANA kids, but everyone is invited to join in on the fun! So, now I am considering the challenge of creating a crazy hat. Hmmm.... How should I go about this? The only rules are it has to be able to sit on your head.

Here are some cray hat inspirations!

I actually really like this one, and I think I know how I could make it! You would just have to make some sort of base hat (like a hat you would wear in the winter) or base headband, modge-podge images of butterflies onto a paper plate, hot glue that to the hat base, and add 3D butterflies!

This may be a bit more difficult to make....

For some reason, I'm really leaning towards butterflies... hmm....

You could go the Mad Hatter route....

Bigger isn't always better.... maybe I should down-size. :)

Feathers sticking directly off of my head are always to be desired....

I'll be sure to post a picture of my finished hat, whatever it may be!

Before I sign off, do you want to see a sneak preview of what my sister is considering for a hat??? Ok, here you go!!!

  1. Sounds like fun!! =) That tiny hat totally cracks me up, and the feather one is *hilarious*! Be sure to post a photo of the hat you decide to wear. Can't wait to see it!

  2. I'm inclined to agree with you on the butterfly hats. But I also like the tiny hat, and the mad hatter style. Maybe you should combine all three. Make a top hat that is microscopic, and somehow incorporate butterflies! I can't wait to see the finished product!

I see Hannah is still obsessed with candy corn :)
